THE VISION BEHIND
Micaela Martinelli is the founder and travel designer behind Spanglish Travel. Born and raised in Buenos Aires and based in Miami, she brings a lifetime of curiosity, deep hospitality experience, and a genuine love for the world to every trip she designs.

THE ROOTS
I was born on what I always believed was an odd date: December 26th. I felt 50% special about it, and 50% cursed. Growing up, curiosity always led my way—I was fascinated by other languages, flavors, ways of living, and the diverse rhythms of people traveling through airports. Though choosing a definitive path at seventeen felt daunting, pursuing a career in tourism and hospitality felt like the natural alignment for everything I loved and excelled at.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I now call Miami, Florida, my home. While adapting to a new city, I constantly seek out authentic cultural glimpses: the unassuming but exceptional local restaurants, the unhurried art of la sobremesa, sourcing ingredients from local markets, and listening to stories shared by strangers.

THE MAKING OF SPANGLISH
Having spent years working in luxury hospitality and sales, my perspective remains deeply framed by how that environment shaped me: to be meticulous, deeply open-minded, and to understand that a welcoming, solution-oriented mindset can orchestrate even the most complex logistics.
Spanglish began as a personal portfolio—a way to keep a visual track of travel experiences, memorable flavors, and those fleeting moments when the setting sun paints the sky. It is the documentation of everything I pass through, translated into a service for travelers who look for meaning in the details.
THE PHILOSOPHY
My fascination with food, culture, and how things are made continues to grow. This ongoing curiosity drives me to be deeply prepared before any departure—reading extensively about a destination, sourcing the absolute best culinary experiences, discovering the optimal times to explore, and, of course, finding the perfect vantage point for the sunset.
The world is marvelous, and Spanglish is an invitation to see, feel, and taste it through a thoughtfully curated lens.
